Youngsters Sign First Team Forms

Friday Aug 10, 2018

Squad boosted for away game tomorrow!

With several first team squad members still nursing minor injuries, some additions to the squad have been made ahead of our league opener on Saturday.

Tyrone Ofori (pictured top left) has signed following his release from Shrewsbury Town at the end of last season. The lively front man, who only turned 18 in July, featured away at Hednesford in pre season, having spend time in our U21 set up in previous weeks.

Jay Thorne (bottom left) is another who steps up from our U21's. The tenacious left back departed from Derby County following the end of his scholarship in May. He caught the eye playing out of position at right back against Sutton Coldfield Town recently.

Junior Mpofu (top right) is a graduate of our scholarship programme. He was named on the first team bench by Andy Morrell in the 2016/17 season, and has continued to impress for U19 and U21 teams alike. He has featured from the bench for the first team in pre season on multiple occasions.

Dan Jezeph (bottom right) needs no introduction. The stopper has again signed for the club, before immediately departing to Worcester City on a temporary basis, where he will gain valuable first team experience for the 2018/19 season. He is not eligible for Worcester City in their FA Cup tie tomorrow, so will travel with us to provide cover for Jas Singh.
