Wins for our Senior Teams

Saturday Feb 1, 2020

Tamworth maintained second place in the Bet Victor Southern Premier Central Division with a hard fought 1 -0 victory over Hitchin Town at the Lamb. The Lambs were reduced to 10 men in the first half when Cameron Howkins controversially saw red for a tackle  just after he had come on for the injured Joe Magunda. The resulting spot kick was blazed over the bar. Hitchin were also down to ten men after  when Coldicott-Stevens received a second yellow card. Shortly after Dan Creaney headed home from a corner for what proved to be the winner.

In the Midland Football League Trophy the Lambs Academy side travelled to Nuneaton Griff Reserves for the second time in a week. Following a 3 -  0 win in the league last Saturday they triumphed 4- 0.

There is no game for Tamworth Ladies on Sunday - they are next in action away at Walsall Wood next Sunday in s Staffs Girls and Ladies fixture
