We Are ready!

Friday Sep 6, 2019

Head of Senior Football, Tom Baillie,  chatted with Lambs.co.uk on Friday morning and declared that the squad are ready and looking forward to the Emirates FA Cup tie with Nuneaton Borough on Saturday afternoon.

“It hasn’t been a great few seasons for the club and we hope that we can put on a show for the fans tomorrow to give them something to cheer about. “It is a great draw and a big game bringing together two of the biggest teams in the midlands at this stage of the competition. It is a shame that one will go out, so hopefully it is not us! “It will be tough game as like us Nuneaton have some fantastic players, but we are ready.”
Tamworth are seeing a number of players return from injury. Greg Kazaboni played his first game of the season last week and scored two goals. Tom said that squad are buoyant and have had two good training sessions this week. “They have trained well and given us some difficult decisions to make with our selection tomorrow. “Kaz returned last week and we now have Fordy (Arron Forde) available for selection and Coxy (Chris Cox) back from suspension. “We also have Tariq Shihan who signed for us this week from Brighton who really impressed us in training last night.”
