Warrington Town overcame Ashton United on Tuesday evening to set up an FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying round tie at The EST Electrical Services Stadium.

Warrington advanced to play Tamworth on Tuesday night in dramatic style, going through on penalties having given up a 2-0 half time lead at Ashton Utd in the replay. A report on the game can be found here.

Both teams played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday in the original tie.

Warrington play in The Northern Premier League (one division below Tamworth) in the same league as Stafford and Hednesford. Warrington are currently 2nd in the league with 37 points from 19 games, gaining 15 points in their 9 away games.

Stafford are currently 12th and Hednesford 16th!
