Waders visit the Lamb

Thursday Feb 20, 2020

We welcome Biggleswade Town to the Lamb on Saturday for a BetVictor Southern Premier Central Division fixture. Back in October the Waders were the first team to inflict a first away defeat of the season on Tamworth in a 2 - 1 reverse. Although this is only our fourth ever competitive fixture against the Waders, we have yet to taste victory having lost two and drawn 1 of the games played. This is certainly a game that the Lambs can’t afford a slip up in as the battle intensifies at the top of the league. Tamworth lead the table by two points, ahead of Bromsgrove Sporting and Peterborough Sports who have 57. Biggleswade arrive at the Lamb in 15th place having gained 40 points from 27 games. Current form is showing that since the turn of the year they have played 8 games with the following record:  W1 D2 L5 F11 A16. They had a midweek game on Tuesday and lost 3 - 0 away at Royston Town.
The enforced lay off last weekend may have been a blessing in disguise for Tamworth as it provided some of our injured players a further 7 days to rest and recover.  It is hoped that Jas SIngh, Joe Magunda, Chris Lait, Jimmy Fry, Dan Creaney and Ahmed Obeng will all be fit and available for selection. However, Aaron Forde will miss out because of his one game suspension, but Ben Hart, who joined from Burton Albion last Friday, will be looking to make his first appearance in a red shirt.
Kick off at the Lamb is 3.00pm and admission prices and car parking details can be found here

Don'f forget that there is full live coverage of the game on the Lambs Media Mixlr Channel brought to you by onlysupernews.com. In addition there will be regular updates on our Twitter and Facebook channels.
