U21 Season Comes To A Close

 Mixed emotions in final week!

 Lee Fryers U21 side experienced ups and downs in the final week of the season. Wednesday saw the squad travel to Wolverhampton to face Coventry United in the North vs. South playoff game. A Eli Bako treble, along with goals from captain Ellis Millard, and midfielder Jordan Featherstone secured a comfortable 5-0 victory, and securing a third trophy of the season having already secured the Fazeley Charity Cup, and Midland League U21 North title.


 One further hurdle presented itself on Saturday. Studley was the venue for the Challenge Bowl final against Leicestershire's Aylestone Park U21. A cagey affair was all square after 120 minutes, after Dan Uche's 95th minute strike forced extra time. However the young Lambs were unfortunate to lose following a shootout.

 There is still time to register for the upcoming U21 trials on Saturday May 27th. Players will be able to enjoy the benefits of playing and training on the stadium 3G surface alongside the first team. In addition to this our U21s will be battling it out in several regional cup competitions, the Midland Football U21 League and will face off against professional sides in a number of friendly fixtures.
