 Midland League U21 North Champions!

Lee Fryer's U21 side triumphed 2-0 over Brocton U21 this morning, meaning that thanks to Leek Town's withdrawal, they finish top of the Midland League U21 North for the second consecutive season!

It was Aaron Opoku and George Dixon who did the damage either side of half time on this occasion, the former being one of five U21 players who have experienced first team football this season. Dan Jezeph, Kai Davis, Michael Wright, and Ryan Pace have all featured for the senior Lambs, while Jorna Moulton, John Dodd, and Junior Mpofu have also been unused substitutes.

The victory means that there are still two fixtures remaining for the U21's before the summer break. On Wednesday May 10th they will travel to AFC Wulfrunians (WV3 8NA) to face Coventry United U21 in the Midland League North vs. South playoff, kicking off at 7.30pm. Saturday May 13th will then see the Midland League Challenge Bowl final take place at Studley FC (B80 7BF). Kick off is 11.00am, with Aylestone Park U21 providing the opposition. Any support would be welcome for either or both games!
