 Dunkley and Wright commit!

Two more new faces put pen to paper on deals for next season today. Attacker Tristan Dunkley and utility man Lewis Wright both join on initial one year agreements.

Dunkley will be familiar to many, having represented several local non league clubs. He began his career at Birmingham City Academy, before coming to prominence at Loughborough University. Successful spells, most notably at Worcester City, earned him a move to National League Solihull Moors at the start of last season, before finishing the season with Redditch United.

Wright, predominantly a defender although he can operate further up the field, also finished last season with Redditch. Prior to that, he is best known for a stint with Hednesford Town. Indeed, The Pitmen turned down several offers for his services from higher level clubs. Wright spent his formative years in the Academy systems of Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, and Walsall, before transitioning into first team football.

On the due, Tim Harris commented “Tristan is someone who will excite the fans. He has got pace to burn, he can hurt defenders and he is a talented lad. Lewis has got a great engine, he’s totally committed and good in the air. He is also a winner, which is important.”
