Tamworth go into their game on Tuesday night on 81 points with no other team able to accrue more than 82, so when Hinckley United visit The Lamb, Gary Mills' squad will run out with the knowledge that a win will win them the league title.
The situation came thanks to The Lambs 2-0 win over Vauxhall Motors, while Telford came from behind to hold Southport to a draw and Mills, speaking after the game said; "We have put ourselves where we are simply by winning another game and not being concerned about other teams results. And another win will secure the title it's as simple as that. But as we have seen anyone can beat anyone in this league so we know it will be tough on Tuesday.
The two goals came in the first half against Vauxhall via Nick Wright and an unlikely source...
"I have worked with Des Lyttle for a while now and if there's one thing he's not good at then it's shooting (!), but full credit to Des as he is a quality player and has performed for us week in week out this season and fully deserved it with a great strike.

"At the start of the season our thought was that two points a game on average would put us there or there abouts and with 81 points after 40 games we are almost pefectly on target, and it's all in our own hands now. I haven't started to think any further ahead than the next game yet, we have a job to complete before any thoughts of next season can start but we're obviously hoping it's settled by this time next weekend."
Kick off on Tuesday night is 7.45pm with the clubhouse open from 6.30pm and, of course, after the final whistle.
