Trip To Liberty Way To Start 2017

Thursday Dec 29, 2016

Away fixture with Nuneaton Town on New Years Day!

The Lambs have only a short wait before they can attempt to avenge the Boxing Day defeat to local rivals Nuneaton Town. Kick off time is 3.00pm on New Years Day, and it would be great to see a large and vocal travelling support.

Speaking to Matt Panter, Goalkeeper and Captain James Belshaw said ""I am sure they will have plenty of confidence now because of the job they have done in winning at our place. But we should still have plenty of confidence as well. We had not lost in eight league games prior to that and have beaten sides like Fylde, Darlington and Salford, the so-called bigger teams. So we will go to Nuneaton in positive mood. We will go into training this week and work on a game plan and go into the match with a fresh mindset."

Assistant Manager Mike Fowler commented on recent support from Lambs fans, adding "Our fans faces at the end of the Boxing Day game is what motivates us. We had a fantastic turn out for the home game and, even at 2-0 down, they really lifted us. So we want to put on a big performance for them this weekend and give them something to enjoy. Nuneaton brought 300 to our place so hopefully we can beat that on New Year's Day. Let's put in a massive performance as a club."

Ticket prices for the game can be found here, http://www.nuneatontownfc.com/a/home-match-day-information-34285.html and transport is still available from the Supporters Club.
