Top 5 Premier League Transfer Rumours!

With the seasons drawing to a close there are plenty of new transfer rumours swirling so takes a look at the hottest news this week.

 James Rodriguez

One of the most hotly contested players of the hour, Real Madrid’s Rodriguez, who is currently on loan to Bayern Munich could be coming to the Premier League next season, but there seem to teams set to go to battle over who gets him. Both Manchester United and Liverpool are looking to get the midfielder so either way he could be playing in red, but where is uncertain at this stage. Of course if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not made permanent, a new manager could take the club in a new direction, but currently, both teams seem keen to pay the rumoured £70m transfer fee needed to secure him.

 Real Madrid

It looks possible that Zinedine Zidane is out to steal away some of the best players at Anfield anyway, and it is not clear that he wants Rodriguez back at the end of the loan period. Instead, it appears that he has his sights set on Trent Alexander-Arnold who has earned a name for himself as best right back in Europe. It is also thought that he will be out to take centre half Virgil van Dijk which could upset the balance and if Liverpool does lift the trophy, Klopp may not be so keen on losing those two players.

 Toby Alderweireld

Another player in demand is Spurs Toby Alderweireld, and it looks like another player in the sights of Solskjaer and other teams. But it seems like Manchester United are leading the race on this one, and a reported bid of £26m or more will mean that Tottenham will be forced to surrender the player in the summer transfer window thanks to contract small print.

 Kieran Tierney

While Celtic will not be keen to lose their man, the lure of the Premier League will certainly be tempting, and it currently looks like Arsenal are set to make a bid on the youngster, but no price has been established as yet. It seems possible that the plan is to replace Nacho Monreal who is expected to announce his retirement sooner rather than later. However, the transfer window for the Gunners will depend on whether they can pull off a final four ranking or whether United pip them to that post.

 Phillipe Coutinho

Apparently, the former Liverpool player is not happy since he moved to Spain 14 months ago and has made it clear that he wants Manchester United to come and get him. The move that cost a massive £142m clearly hasn’t proved to be what the midfielder hoped for, and he now wants to return to the Premier League specifically at Old Trafford. It seems that the price on his head has dropped somewhat and Solskjaer (or whoever takes the role next season) could snap up the player for as little as £84m which is still a pretty hefty fee for those of us outside the transfer millions.
