MIDFIELD man, Shane Clarke, is hoping that The Lambs can build on last weekend’s draw with FC United of Manchester and continue our promotion push despite a loss of form during last month...

“We know that we’ve had a bad month or so in terms of results,” he admitted. “Despite this we’re still in a really good position in the table.

“It’s not as if we’re slogging it out near the bottom; we’re still in touch with the top five and there are a lot of clubs who would like to be in this position.

“We know that we are capable of beating anyone in this League on our day. It’s about getting the confidence back and hopefully we can use last weekend’s draw as a starting point.

“It ended our run of defeats and now we need to be able to push on from here. To do that it will take a combined effort from everyone, that’s players, staff and supporters.

“The fans have been great to us and we need them now more than ever, to be fair. They stuck with us in the last game and we were delighted to be able to give them something to cheer about.

“They can make a big difference. As players we really appreciate the backing that we get and by everyone pulling in the same direction, we can be strong.

“I know it’s a cliché that is probably going to be said many times in the weeks ahead, but we really do need to take it one game at a time.

“Earlier in the season we had a reputation for being difficult to beat and break down. There are signs that we’re getting back to that now and it will give a solid base for our attacking players to go on and get the goals that will win us matches.”
