Friday Sep 11, 2020

Tamworth face Gloucester City on Saturday at the Lamb (KO 3.00pm).

Tamworth and Gloucester City are no strangers to each other, having played each other on 37 occasions in competitive fixtures. The last time the two teams locked horns was on 31 January 2017 in the National League North at the home of Cheltenham Town, where the home team won 2 - 0. The Tigers are currently looking forward to returning home to their Meadow Park ground which is being rebuilt after having to ground share for a number of years with a variety of landlords including Cheltenham Town and Evesham United.

In their most recent friendly Gloucester lost 2 -1 at fellow Southern League Central outfit Barwell on Tuesday evening. Akwasi Asante, who recently signed for the Tigers, scored their goal and will be no stranger to Tamworth Supporters. Meanwhile Tamworth took on National League North play off contenders Brackley Town and came out on top 2 - 1 with goals from Liam Bateman and Shaquille McDonald.
