Lambs boss Gary Mills admitted after the 1-1 draw away at Redditch on Bank Holiday Monday that the players are just as tense about the final couple of weeks of the season as the fans and was under no illusions that the final three games would be easy.
"We're figthing for our lives at the top and today's result was a massive point. Perhaps luck is with us (Redditch's Garry Hay missed an open goal in added time at the end of the game) but perhaps she isn't as we had chances to win it too.
We will continue to work hard and if we are still top at the end of the season then we will be there because we deserve to be but I can say there will be no disappointments come the end of the season proper no matter where we finish - if we have to play in the play offs."
"Today we battled back for a valuable point and while we would have liked all six over Easter we're just going to continue to work hard in the final few games and see what happens."
"It's been a great season so far and I'm really proud of what we have achieved, and the lads are only human so of course they are bound to be feeling the pressure just like the fans who want us to do well."
Tamworth's next game is on Saturday, April 18, at home to Vauxhall Motors while elsewhere in the league both Southport and Telford play their games in hand on Wednesday night.
