The Magic of the FA Cup this weekend

Friday Jan 24, 2020

Will there be any Cup shock upsets this weekend in the fourth round.

There is a break this weekend for the Premier League as the FA Cup takes centre stage. We have a look at where the cup shocks could come from and which teams could cash in on the financial rewards the FA Cup offers smaller teams which is like winning in a casino. Have a look at casinojoka if you would like offers on casinos.

If you look down the fourth found fixtures to spot a potential upset, consideration is needed on how strong the Premier League teams will be, as the Premiership tends to be the priority due to the massive finances. Some teams will need to concentrate on not getting relegated and others must prioritize getting a Champions League spot.

So Hull City will fancy their chances at home to Chelsea, hoping they are not concentrating on the cup! Hull are big outsiders at 11/2 to win the game but will hope playing at home will help.

Brentford of the Championship will also believe they have a good chance of proceeding to the next round. They are at home also, to top 4 chasing Leicester City. Leicester are fifth favourites to win the cup, but if they play a weakened team to rest players for the Premiership run in, they could be vulnerable to the upset. Brentford are 14/5 to win the game.

Manchester City should not have trouble at home to Fulham from the league below, however the Cottagers are in form and will give it their best shot. Manchester City are 1/10 so there is little value for the home win.

Liverpool travel to League 1 Shrewsbury, who got the glamour tie of the round. Liverpool don’t need to rest players as they are so far ahead in the league so it could be a tough assignment for the lower league team. Shrewsbury are 6/1 and Liverpool 2/5 with the draw 4/1. Shrewsbury would love to grab a draw and a money spinning replay at Anfield, similar to Tamworth when they drew with higher division Hereford at home before beating them on penalties in the replay.

Championship high flyers West Brom will go to West Ham hoping to catch them worrying about relegation in the league and get one over their higher league rivals.

Finally in a twist of fate, League 1 Coventry City will play host to local rivals Birmingham City. However as Coventry currently play their home games at the Blues, both teams will effectively be at home. This game used to be a top flight local derby back in the early Premier League days and both teams could do with a cup run as times have been hard for both sets of fans. This is a especially hard to pick a winner so real money online casino games may be a better option than betting on this game.

So whether it is one of the above mentioned matches or one of the other games, there will surely be some upsets this weekend and the magic of the FA Cup will continue.
