The Lambs to launch a full time girls academy this year

Wednesday Jul 1, 2020

Tamworth FC General Manager Rich Wassall says he's energized by the untapped capability and potential of women’s and girls football in the local community as the club reported hopes for a full-time young ladies scholars program recently.

The Lambs set up a Ladies First team at the start of last season and they have made colossal steps, winning their league and gaining promotion. If you want to be a winner like the ladies then look at ThePogg for casino offers and sign up bonuses.

Presently the club is growing and Wassall stated: "This is an enormous advance forward for the club.”

"The degree of intrigue we have had in the ladies' has been awesome. Over 250 people came to watch a recent home game! We feel that, as they ascend through the leagues, which they are hoping to do, they will get more fans.”

On the back of this initial success, The Lambs do not want to sit back. The Club want to add a second team and also a scholars program which can run along side the already successful boys program.

Wassall stated "As a club, we have gained enormous ground regarding the advancement of the club with the young men's institute. We now need to imitate that with the young ladies-segment of the club.”

A first set of trials of 16-year-old girls have just taken place, with more scheduled to go ahead at The Lamb soon. It will be available to all who are as of now in Year 11 who might want to study BTEC Sport while simultaneously playing full time football, gaining valuable top class coaching which could lead to playing professionally in the future.

Those in the scholars program will have the chance to advance to the Tamworth Ladies first team in time.

The length of the course, which happens at The Lamb is two years. To get a more instant bonus then look at Casinobonusesnow for free spins and more.
