THE NEW committee which took over the management of Team Builder in July have been delighted by the response from fans to this major initiative in supporting Tamworth FC...
The biggest response has been the increase, by 75%, of those supporters who now contribute on a monthly basis. This is the main source of revenue for Team Builder and we would encourage any fans to sign up to this idea.
We would also like to express our grateful thanks to those persons who have made one-off donations to Team Builder. This type of support is always very welcome. It was also very pleasing to find a sponsor and we would like to thank ‘The King’s Ditch’ in Lower Gungate for their support and sponsorship.
The two bucket collections have raised just over £460 which is a real testament to the support fans are willing to give this style of fund raising. The committee decided at a very early stage that collections at every home game would be asking too much of supporters and we can now say that we have planned four more this season but we may add to this depending on Cup runs.
The chosen dates are;
31st October v Hednesford – 5th December v Worcester City
16th February v Curzon Ashton - 2nd April v Chorley.
We are always open to new fundraising ideas and were pleased to take on board, alongside TFCSC, the suggestion by manager, Andy Morrell, that we should run a competition for one fan to be on a team photo shoot.
So far we have had a number of fans who have paid their £2 and will be in the draw at 5.30pm after the game on Saturday against Stalybridge Celtic.
If you want to be that fan then buckets will be situated around the ground on Saturday so please bring in your money with your completed envelope or get an envelope from the bucket collectors.
We were pleased that Andy Morrell was able to be at the launch of the new Team Builder initiative in July. Our next meeting is scheduled to be in the sponsors lounge on Thursday September 10th at 7.30pm. Our guests that night will be new general manager, George Delves, and assistant manager Mike Fowler.
We would like to invite ALL Tamworth fans, not just Team Builder contributors, to come along and ask questions of our guests and the Team Builder committee members. We would also welcome any ideas that you may have for further fund raising.'
