THE LAMBS slipped to a 1-0 Birmingham Senior Cup defeat at the hands of Romulus on Monday evening...
It was a young line-up which took to the field and player-manager, Andy Morrell, was able to take the positives from the game.
“All in all it was a useful exercise for us,” he admitted. “Obviously we were disappointed to lose and I felt that we didn’t create enough.
“That said, I was pleased with the attitude of the lads involved and the way in which they stuck to their task.
“We had a young side out there and it was always going to be a challenge for them physically, but they approached it the right way and they will learn a lot from this.
“It was a good learning curve for the younger boys, whilst we were able to get minutes into Leon Mettam, Danny Racchi, Oli Roberts and Owain Warlow.”
