Styche Speaks

Friday Jan 27, 2017

 Reece aiming to be 'catalyst'!

Returning Striker Reece Styche caught up with the Tamworth Herald's Matt Panter earlier in the week to discuss his recent move.

"I used to tell Tommy Wright about Tamworth's 12-game winning run." Styche said about his Nuneaton Town Manager. "And then we started winning at Boro and went on an eight-game run. Hopefully I can have the same effect now I am back at Tamworth. It would be great if I could be a catalyst for something."

"I think it's all about confidence and belief. Wins breed confidence and that's basically what happened at Nuneaton. We got to a point where we never felt like we would get beaten, we were indestructable. I enjoyed my time there."

A switch away from full time Nuneaton Town has come at the right time for Styche, who is embarking on a second career in accountancy. "I just want to enjoy my football with Tamworth now, play without any pressure. When football is your full-time job, you are always hoping your face fits and you can earn a new contract. I just want to go out now and focus on playing and I am looking forward to doing that with Tamworth."

Styche is available for selection against Boston United tomorrow, a game that kicks off at 3.00pm at The GST Gas Services Stadium at The Lamb.
