Lambs aim to make it five unbeaten!

Tamworth FC beginning to get results
Tamworth kicked off their 2018-19 Southern League Premier Central campaign on the back of last year’s relegation. The Lambs, who finished 21st out of the 22-club league, got off to an inauspicious start this term. Tamworth went winless in their opening four fixtures. However, the club is slowly turning around those results. Since August 25th, Tamworth have gone four matches undefeated in all competitions. Tamworth are a great club to wager on and the latest Betfair promo code will give Lambs’ supporters the chance to back their club in more ways than one.

 Moving up the table
Despite obtaining only one win thus far, Tamworth have six points from 18. It isn’t promotion calibre play, but the Lambs have recently found themselves in mid-table. Of course, just two points separate the club from the relegation positions. As long as Tamworth can keep gaining points as evidence in their last three league fixtures, they can keep moving up the table to secure their position in the Southern League Premier Central.

 Southern League Challenge Cup
Most impressively for manager Mike Fowler’s team was the six goals it put past Southern League Challenge Cup rivals Coalville. The Lambs came out firing straight away in the cup match to seal their progression to the next round. Tamworth will hope the likes of Chris Lait, Tyrell Waite, Lewis Wright, and Akwasi Asante can continue their goal scoring form.
Making the team’s Southern League Challenge Cup win even more of a confidence boast, and it is hard to get more confident after scoring six goals, was the fact that Tamworth did it against the league’s second place team. Coalville have been one of the Southern League Premier Central’s pacesetters this term. The club has picked up 13 of 18 points. However, Tamworth outplayed Coalville in convincing style in the Southern League Challenge Cup.  Tamworth will host Coalville on December 1st in league play. Coalville will certainly have the fixture circled on their calendar and revenge will be in their minds. By the time the fixture rolls around, Tamworth could see themselves further up the league table.

 Tamworth extend midfielder’s loan deal
Tamworth have not only been getting the rest on the pitch, but they have got one off it. The team announced the extension of Kyle Finn’s loan on September 3rd. The Coventry City midfielder originally joined Tamworth for this season on a short-term loan. Finn’s loan has been extended until January 2019. The 19-year-old Finn was a member of Coventry’s under-18 squad last season and is now learning his trade with Tamworth. The exciting attacking midfielder scored his first goal for the club in his home debut. Finn’s goal was enough to earn Tamworth a draw on the day against Alvechurch. The teenager is getting valuable minutes at Tamworth and can now develop further before heading back to Coventry in 2019.

Despite the disappointment of relegation last term, Tamworth are slowly putting the pieces back together. A fight for promotion may still be on the cards for this season.
