Staffing Update

Changes at U21 level ahead of next season!

Following a proposed change to our U21 structure next season meaning that a large percentage of the squad will train during the day rather than in the evenings, we can confirm that the club has parted company with current U21 Manager Gareth Zimmerman.

We wish to thank Gareth for his hard work and excellent contribution throughout 2018/19, and wish him the very best for the future. However, the current model of the entire U21 squad training alongside the first team squad is under review, meaning that the managerial position at U21 level will alter significantly in 2019/20.

The proposed introduction of a third year scholarship programme, providing additional educational qualifications alongside full time football training means that the majority of U21 players will shift to daytime training, which is currently overseen by Mike Fowler, Andrew Danylyszyn, and Rich Wassall. Those who are then closest to a first team call up will take part in additional training sessions with the first team on Tuesday and Thursday evenings when required.

U21 Lead Coach Jamie Relph will take charge for the final three games of this campaign, starting with the visit of table-toppers Bedworth United on Tuesday evening, 7.45pm kick off.
