Sporting Striker Signs on for the Lambs

Wednesday Jul 1, 2020

We are delighted to welcome Shaquille McDonald to the club, having signed on the dotted line from Bromsgrove Sporting where he enjoyed a very successful spell last season.

The 24 years old striker began his career at Peterborough United where he signed a 4 years contract in 2013. However, he was released later that year and signed for York City. After a successful trial for Derby County he signed a two years deal for the Rams in August 2014. Although he did not make a first team appearance he had two successful loan spells at Cheltenham Town and FC Halifax Town, scoring for the Shaymen against Tamworth on his debut in a 5 - 0 FA Trophy win! Following his release from Derby he had played for Nuneaton Town, Black Country Rangers, Coventry United and Mickleover Sports before making his move to Sporting at the start of last season. He has developed a reputation as a formidable goalscorer having hit the back of the net 19 times last season, including a goal against Tamworth last August at the Lamb.

 Welcome to the Lamb Shaquille!
