At the Football Conference AGM held at The Celtic Manor, Newport, South Wales the Lambs learned that they will have a change of opponents next season as Rushden and Diamonds were expelled from the Conference for financial reasons. This action meant a recall for Southport who finished last season fourth from bottom.

With Rushden expelled it meant a recall for Thurrock who had a better record in the Blue Square South than Stafford Rangers in the Blue Square North. With Thurrock back in the BSS it meant a club had to switch to the BSN and Bishop Stortford were the team forced to make the change. The decision did not go down well with the Bishop Stortford delegates but after a delay in proceedings for the clubs to discuss the matter the new constitution was voted in by a clear majority.

The programme of the year award for the BSP went to Mansfield Town FC, The BSN award went to AFC Telford United and Staines Town took the BSS award.

The Fair play awards went to Bath City, Blyth Spartans and Ebbsfleet United .
