Midfielder takes Coaching position at Lincoln City!

We can today confirm that midfielder Tom Shaw has left the club in order to take up a full time coaching position at Lincoln City Football Club Academy.

Shaw made over 70 appearances in an initial spell at The Lamb between 2008 and 2010, in which he he was part of the Conference North winning side in 2009. He rejoined in January 2018, but could not save the club from relegation. Tom has provided the following statement:

"Having been offered a fantastic coaching opportunity at Lincoln City Football Club, I have decided that it is the right time to announce my retirement from playing. I have loved playing football for a living for 15 years, and I have fond memories of representing Tamworth FC first time around, especially winning Conference North in 2009."

"I am excited about my new career in coaching, and I would like to thank the club and staff for their professionalism throughout this process. I wish Tamworth and their dedicated supporters the best of luck, and I hope the club bounce back quickly and have a great season. All the best, Tom!"
