Royston Trip Next Up

Thursday Apr 4, 2019

 Lambs away on Saturday!

Following the disappointment of last weekends home defeat to Lowestoft Town, we prepare to travel to Royston Town this Saturday, aiming to stop the hosts completing a league double over us. The Crows won the reverse fixture 2-1 back in late September, Dennis Greene's first fixture in charge.

Royston will be in confident mood following an away victory against Coalville on Tuesday evening. However, Royston captain Adam Murray could be an injury doubt after being replaced in midweek. The Lambs will be without the suspended Joe Magunda, but the likes of Chris Lait, Ryan Beswick, and Jordan Gough are all nearing returns from injury.

Looking ahead to Saturday, Gary Smith told Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald "“We will prepare again this week as we do for every game and I am sure we will get the right reaction come Saturday. Training went well on Tuesday night. There was a really nice tempo to it and we are looking forward to Saturday now."

“The fact the players were in the dressing room on Saturday and were bitterly disappointed stands them in good stead and hopefully the things we have said to them will resonate in their heads. We have 15 points left to play for and we have to make sure we perform in those games."
