Darren Fulford's reserve time recorded a fine 3-0 away win on Monday against FCV Reds with a number of first teamers in action. You can read a full report of the Central Conference Cup game by clicking on the reserve and youth link.
But on Wednesday night at The Lamb, the side found themselves out muscled and over powered by a very strong Bromsgrove side, and they lost 6-2 again in the Central Conference Cup.
It was the reserve sides first defeat since December 27 and they lost the game against Bromsgrove in the first half where Kelly netted a first half hat-trick to help his side to a 5-0 half time scorline helped somewhat by some uncharacteriscally poor defending.
In the second period and without Kelly up front The Lambs conceded again on 55 but immediately replied through Giovanni Dainty a minute later.
They started to control things and hit another in 85th minute through Shylo Thomas but it was too late for the young side.
On Saturday they are at home in the first leg of the Challenge Trophy Semi Final to Heather St. Johns, kick off 3pm at The Lamb so if you can't make the trip to Hucknall with the first team, why not come down and cheer them on.
