Relegation Confirmed

Monday Apr 23, 2018

 Lambs drop to step three.

On Saturday evening, relegation from National League North was confirmed following a 4-3 home defeat by Chorley, a game in which The Lamb had held a 3-1 lead with just 28 minutes to play.

Our final league opposition of the season, Gainsborough Trinity have also been relegated, as the like of Southport, Curzon Ashton, Leamington, and Alfreton secured safety for another season.

The constitution of next seasons league still remains unclear at this stage. What is known is that it will be a newly created, predominantly midlands-based league, governed by The Southern League. Likely visitors to The Lamb include Hednesford Town, Stafford Rangers, and Stourbridge, while possible trips could include Lowestoft Town to the east and Merthyr Tydfil to the west. We will distribute further information on this when it is received.
