New striker on hopes for the season ahead!

New striker Bradley Reid caught up with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald this week to discuss his move, and aims for the future.

"I'm really excited," Reid told Herald Sport. "I have worked with Andy (Morrell) before at Wrexham. He's a top quality coach and he got the best out of me before so this was an offer I couldn't refuse. When I was 16, I was in the youth team at Wrexham and Andy spotted me and brought me up to the first team.

"He gave me that first shot and I took it. He made me into a regular in his side so I guess you could say that I owe everything to him. As a striker, you want your manager to have been a forward as well. It just means that you can learn so much more off them and obviously I will be looking to benefit from Andy's knowledge again now."

On his time at Wolves, Reid said "It was a move I certainly couldn't turn down at the time. It was a fantastic opportunity and I have taken a lot from my time at Wolves. It was a valuable experience. I worked a lot with (Under-23s coach) Scott Sellars and learnt massively from him. He taught me so much. For example, my hold up play is so much better now. When I was at Wrexham, I just used to kick the ball and run after it. I will certainly take all that I have learnt from Wolves into my time here at Tamworth."

And Reid is hoping that he can quickly show the club's supporters what he is about. "I would say I offer a lot of enthusiasm," he said. "I provide aggression but in the right way I like to get behind defences but am equally happy coming for the ball. I am really just looking to push on and score goals. Hopefully we can enjoy a successful season."
