Reid All About It

 Striker Bradley joins Lambs!

Bradley Reid today became our second new signing ahead of the 2017/18 National League North campaign. The lively striker, whose contact at EFL Championship side Wolves had recently expired, joins the likes of Reece Styche, Darryl Knights, and Connor Taylor as forward options for Andy Morrell, with further additions to follow.

Reid is no stranger to Morrell, who sold the hitman from Wrexham to Wolves back in 2013. Now 21 year old, Reid has spend time in the U23 at Wolves, enjoyed a loan spell at AFC Telford United, and represented Wales at youth level.

Commenting on the signing to Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald, Andy Morrell had the following to say. “He has been in and out of things at Wolves a bit. He was injured a bit and did well at other times but perhaps his face didn't quite fit there and so we have managed to get him here. I am delighted we have had the opportunity to take him in. When I had him at Wrexham, he was a throw-back striker, someone who was fast, played with no fear and was good in the air. He was very raw but had goals in him and I think he's hungry to get back to playing the game and enjoying his football again.

“He had lost a bit of love for it but he's excited to get started again now. He can play in any of the front three positions although mainly down the middle. We need new faces and he fits the bill of a young, fast player. He ticks a lot of the boxes and adds further competition up front. We now have Bradley and Reece (Styche) in attack and have offers in for a few others who, if they come off, we would be delighted with.
