READY FOR BATTLE

Thursday Oct 29, 2015

IT’S derby day here at The Lamb on Saturday as we play host to Hednesford Town...

The Pitmen sit in the middle of the table with four wins from their 14 League games so far.

As for Tamworth, we go into the game in good spirits following a commanding 4-0 win at Lowestoft Town last weekend in a game which saw us have the points wrapped up by the break.

“The performance last weekend was something that we have been threatening for a while,” admitted Morrell. “Everything seemed to click into place, but we know that we can’t rest on our laurels, we have to kick-on from here.

“We’re back in front of our own fans on Saturday and it’s a local derby, so I am looking for us to put on another positive display.

“Hednesford are a powerful side who are sure to pose us questions. I know Bernie McNally, he’s a good guy and an experienced coach. He will have his side well-organised and ready to battle for everything.

“It’ll be a competitive game – they always are against Hednesford – but hopefully we can build on our last two performances.”
