RACCHI UPBEAT

Thursday Nov 5, 2015

DANNY Racchi is confident Tamworth will challenge at the top of the National League North at the end of the campaign after admitting he has been impressed with what he has seen from his team-mates since arriving at The Lamb...

Racchi’s arrival has coincided with a run of seven points from a possible nine which has catapulted Tamworth back into the play-off places.

“Looking at what I have seen so far, there’s no reason why this club cannot be at, or around, the top come the end of the season,” Racchi said. “I had seen the results prior to coming in and saw the lads had lost a couple and had also had a few draws.

“But I am not even looking back at what they had or hadn’t done before.

“Since I have been in, all I have known is the lads play well and be on the front foot in games.

“I’m just disappointed we haven’t won all three games I have played in really because I thought we were the better team, by a long shot, against Solihull as well.

“We just need to take this form into Gloucester now. There’s no reason why we can’t win that game and Stockport the following week.

“We have got to keep the momentum going and, if we play like we are doing, I don’t think anyone will be able to beat us. It’s about maintaining our standards now and continuing to win games.”
