POSITIVE ATTITUDE

Thursday Dec 31, 2015

LAMBS’ player-manager, Andy Morrell, is hoping that we can put our poor recent form behind us and start the New Year as we mean to go on at Alfreton Town on Saturday...

Monday’s loss at Nuneaton was our fourth straight defeat, but Morrell is confident that we can get back on track.

“It’s going to be about sticking together and working hard,” he said. “We have to display a positive attitude and go out there determined to bounce back in the right way.

“We need everyone pulling together and we certainly need the fans behind us now more than ever.

“After such a run of results, our confidence is naturally going to be a bit low, but we have the ability here, there is no doubt about that.

“We’ve suffered with injuries, but that is part-and-parcel of the game. It’s about getting back to basics and starting to build some momentum again.

“We will come out fighting because that is the only way we know here.

“Alfreton have already beaten us twice this season, so we’ll be looking to make amends for that. It’s a tough place to go, but the pitch is always fantastic there.

“Both teams will know what each other is about having only faced each other on Boxing Day, but I will be looking for us to start the New Year with a fresh mentality.

“We will go there and give it our all and hopefully emerge with the right result come the final whistle.”
