Next Up - Redditch United

Friday Sep 13, 2019

Redditch United visit the CR MOT Centre Community Stadium at the Lamb on Saturday afternoon for a Bet Victor Southern Premier Central League fixture. KO is at 3.00pm

Tamworth resume their league campaign on Saturday lying just four points off the top spot, which is currently held by Banbury who have played one more game. August yielded 10 points for the Lambs and with key players returning from injury and suspension they will be hoping to continue the momentum gained from three straight wins over Hitchin, Nuneaton and Barwell, scoring 9 times and conceding just 1. The management team will have a headache as they ponder who makes the final 11 with so many good individual performances last Saturday and again on Tuesday evening.

The visitors are Redditch United, who arrive on the back of a defeat to Sutton Coldfield Town in the Emirates FA Cup. However, they lie just one place and one point behind the Lambs in the league and will be looking to put their defeat at the hands of Sutton Coldfield behind them. Their record so far from 6 league games is Won 2 Drawn 3 and Lost 1. They gave scored 11 and conceded 9.

In the corresponding fixture last season, played on 13 October, Redditch won 3 - 1 at the Lamb in front of a gate of 621. Despite going into a half-time lead, courtesy of a Ryan Beswick goal, a lacklustre second half saw Redditch score three times to claim the points. The Lambs lined up as follows: Singh, Green K, Gough, Beswick, Kettle, Jemson, Dunkley (Clement 68), Verma, Johnson (Ofori 56), Asante (Hayden 68), Finn
 Unused: Green P, Moore
