Breslin Signs On Loan

Friday Aug 5, 2016

Wolves youngster joins ahead of weekend fixture!

We are pleased to announce that a youth loan has been agreed with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Irish left back Anthony Breslin, subject to FA clearance. The Dublin born player has featured in the last two pre season games against Hednesford Town and Aston Villa as a trialist, and will provide cover for the injured Stephan Morley, who will miss the start of the season.

Breslin joined Wolves as a Scholar, and signed his first professional contract last season. He has also represented his country at U16, U17 and U19 level so far. We would like to place our thanks on record to the staff of Wolverhampton Wanderers for facilitating this move.

In other player news, ex Walsall Goalkeeper Dan Jezeph has also registered with the club to provide cover and competition for James Belshaw. Jezeph will travel with the squad for the Brackley Town fixture tomorrow, after initially joining the U21 set up at the club.

Two more U21 players have also registered with the first team today, before immediately heading out to gain valuable game time and experience in the Northern Premier League Division One (South). Defender Ishmael Dawson joins Sheffield F.C. while midfielder George Dixon joins Chasetown, both in dual registration agreements. Both of these moves, along with the promotion of Dan Jezeph, highlight the good work going on at U21 level at the club. Well done to Lee Fryers and staff.
