With the injuries mounting up and a very important part of
the season on the horizon Manger Dale Belford has been busy bringing in a few
new faces to bolster the squad at the Lamb.
Arriving on loan deals are experienced striker Nick Chadwick
who has joined on a two month loan deal from Plymouth Argyle and full back Ryan
Higgins who is on an initial one month youth loan deal from Birmingham City.
Former player Lee Hildreth has also been allocated a squad number after initial
signing to cover for a Senior Cup game but having trained well he has been
given squad number 29.
Hildreth last played for the Lamb on 2008 and after being
released went to Corby Town and Bracknell Town for a short spell. He then left
a footballing career behind and joined the Royal Marines and has just returned
back after an 18 month spell in Afghanistan. Lee began his career on the books
of Coventry City and made one Championship appearance.
Nick Chadwick is 30 years old and has been with Plymouth
since 2012, he began his career on the books of Everton making 14 appearances
then joined Millwall on loan. In 2005 he moved to his first spell with Plymouth
scoring 10 goals in 77 appearances. In 2008 a move up the M5 to Hereford then
along the M54 to Shrewsbury Town followed.
The 2010/11 season saw Nick playing for Barrow and he has
since gone on to play for Stockport County before returning to Plymouth for a
second spell in 2012.
Ryan Higgins is a highly regarded prospect at Birmingham
City and the 19 year former Everton Youth team captain who actually supports
Liverpool is eager to get playing on a regular basis.
All three players are likely to be added to the squad when
Luton Town bring probably the biggest ever away support to the Lamb when 1300
Hatter fans will be attending the game which kicks off at 3.00pm.
