Banbury United away

Tuesday Mar 4, 2014

Tamworth head to Banbury in the last eight of the Birmingham Senior Cup tonight with the prospect of a semi-final clash with the possibility of a clash with a Championship side looming.

Victory for the Lambs would set up a clash with either Birmingham City or Conference North side Hednesford Town in the last four.

The Blues and Pitmen also play this evening.

For the Lambs, Skrill Premier survival is the priority but manager Dale Belford says his side will be taking the Banbury clash seriously.

"Of course, our battle with relegation is the main focus for us and we have a huge game coming up at the weekend against Aldershot" said Belford.

But we are still determined to win in the cup. If nothing else, a win will be good for our confidence ahead of the weekend.

It won't be easy and Banbury will look to thrive off the underdogs tag and will fancy their chances of an upset.

" But we will be looking to produce a good performance that we can take into Saturday"
