THERE’S a mouth-watering encounter in prospect here at The Lamb on Saturday as we lock horns with Nuneaton Town (kick-off 3.00pm)...

Since relegation at the end of last term, Boro have transformed their squad, which includes former Premier League striker, Marlon Harewood.

They sit in second place in the early League table with four wins and a draw from their opening five games, meaning that they are two places and two points above us.

“It’s a local derby and the fact that both teams have started so well only adds further spice to the occasion,” said manager, Andy Morrell. “Nuneaton will make life tough for us; they have broken the habit of losing games from last season and are building some momentum.

“From our point of view, if I had been offered 11 points from the first 15 points at the start of the season, I would certainly have taken that.

“It’s good but I feel that we can get better and better. We’re a work in progress, but I’m happy with where we’re at right now.

“We may not have a deep squad, but we do have good players and they are working extremely hard.

“These are the type of games that we want to be involved in; hopefully there will be a good crowd here for it and we can put on a show which will ultimately lead to three points.”

Make sure you are here for the game to give us your support... it’s going to be a cracker!
