MORRELL HOPING TO BE MERRIER AT MOORS

Friday Feb 26, 2016

HAVING secured successive 2-1 victories in our last two games, The Lambs head to League leaders, Solihull Moors, in good heart at the weekend...

Andy Morrell’s side followed up the home success over Curzon Ashton with a hard-earned triumph at Gloucester City and are now ready for the challenge that the high-flying Moors will present.

“Solihull are having a fantastic season,” said Morrell. “They are a strong side and have plenty of experience and know-how in their ranks.

“It will be a tough challenge for us, there is no doubt about that, but we go into it in good spirit following our last two results.

“Our confidence and belief is high and we will be looking to take the game to them and show what we are capable of.

“It’s a big game, on that we are really looking forward to. I am expecting it to be a tight affair, much like when they came to our place earlier in the season, but hopefully we can have the edge and add some more points to our tally.

“The lads have responded really well to the defeat at Corby; they have got back on track and will be well up for this one.

“I can’t fault the work-rate and effort of the lads.”
