Latest updates on the squad for next season!
We are pleased to welcome our latest new recruit, Stephan Morley, to the club. The left back, who spent last season at National League North rivals Brackley Town, joins on a one year contract. The 29 year old will add valuable experience to our back line, having featured regularly for the likes of Corby Town and Leamington over the last few seasons.
Andy Morrell commented "Steph is a player that we have monitored for a while, and he has actually been close to joining us in the past. He is a Leicester lad, and therefore fits our remit of trying to recruit more from the local area."
"He was great against us on the final day of the season for Brackley, and can also hopefully be a weapon for us in set piece situations."
As well as Morley, midfielder Jed Davies and defender Louis Ezewele have pledged their respective futures to us for next season.
On Davies, Morrell remarked "I think he can be a big player for us next season. He has had a taste of what it is like in this league now and now he needs to be driven to make it into the team and secure a place. He went out on loan to Chasetown and scored a few goals, which will have helped, and hopefully we will see more from him when the new season starts."
Ezewele, who impressed in starts against Harrogate and Gloucester in the second half of the season, will again try and force his way into the team. "We rate him and believe there is still more to come" said Morrell. "We are pleased that he has decided to stay as part of the group and continue his development with us."
