Midweek Blue Square Bet Premier - Betting Preview from Blue Square

The battle for top spot continues on Tuesday evening with just one point separating Blue Square Bet Premier high-flying duo AFC Wimbledon and Crawley Town. Luton Town follow closely behind and are still considered the nearest challengers to Steve Evans' men in the title prices. Blue Square make Crawley the 8/13 favourites to lift the title with Luton at 2/1 and AFC Wimbledon third best at 8/1 before Tuesday's all important matches.

Crawley entertain 14th-placed Cambridge United at Broadfield Stadium as they continue their title campaign. The Red Devils dropped down to second place at the weekend after playing out a goalless draw with Grimsby Town, while Martin Ling's U's were defeated 3-1 by an in-form Wrexham. Blue Square are taking no chances with the price for a home win and 3/10 is on offer for that outcome. Cambridge are offered at one of their biggest prices for a league game since their relegation into non-league football at 7/1.

Promotion-chasing Luton Town prepare for the visit of play-off hopefuls Grimsby Town to Kenilworth Road as they aim to cut the gap on AFC Wimbledon and Crawley Town. The Hatters sit in third place following a 2-2 draw with Gateshead on Saturday, while the Mariners find themselves sitting in ninth with 39 points from 26 fixtures. A home win in this Premier Sports live game is offered at 4/6.

Adie Britton's Bath City can expect a stern test when league leaders AFC Wimbledon make the trip to Twerton Park. The Romans ended a three-match winless run on Saturday with a 3-0 win against Altrincham, while the Dons reclaimed pole position in the league standings with a 5-0 victory over Southport. That win over the Sandgrounders cemented some good form in a difficult set of fixtures for Terry Brown's team. A draw looks the best call at a price of 12/5 in this one.

Ken McKenna's Altrincham will be targeting all three points when fellow strugglers Hayes & Yeading make the trip to Moss Lane in a real relegation six-pointer. The Robins' 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bath City at the weekend put them second from bottom with 22 points from 26 games. Hayes & Yeading have recorded two consecutive draws and sit in 21st place with 25 points from 27 fixtures. Another draw for Garry Haylock's men is priced at 5/2.

18th-placed Barrow take on bottom-of-the-table Histon at Holker Street as they aim to further distance themselves from the drop zone. The Bluebirds have collected just four points from their last six fixtures following a 2-0 loss to Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday. However, the Stutes will be desperate to claim a victory, having picked up just one point from their last six games. The home side are as short as they have been for any game this season at a restrictive 4/6.

Mark Cooper's Darlington prepare to take on Mansfield Town at the Darlington Arena with both sides aiming to keep their play-off aspirations alive. The Quakers recorded a 1-1 draw against Tamworth at the weekend and currently occupy 12th position, while Mansfield are in eighth place after 1-0 victory over Histon. It's almost a ‘must win' game for the home side who cannot afford to let the coveted fifth place slip out of their sights, they are Evens to get back on track.

Garry Wilson's Eastbourne Borough play host to 15th-placed Tamworth at Priory Lane as they look to arrest a worrying run of form. The Sports have lost their last six league fixtures and they currently hover just two points above bottom-of-the-table Histon. Des Lyttle's Tamworth, meanwhile, will be keen to get a victory under their belts after recording two consecutive draws. An away win looks the percentage call here at 8/5.

Strugglers Forest Green Rovers have a tough home game against play-off chasing Kidderminster Harriers. David Hockaday's Rovers were defeated 2-1 by York City at the weekend, while the Harriers beat Barrow 2-0 at Aggborough. Steve Burr's team are 7/5 to keep their good run going.

Marcus Law's Kettering Town will be targeting back-to-back wins when high-flying Fleetwood Town make the trip to Rockingham Road. The Poppies saw off the challenge of Eastbourne Borough, while Micky Mellon's Fleetwood were held to a 1-1 draw by Hayes & Yeading. Kettering's win over Eastbourne was only their second home success of the season but now that poor run is over they should be backed at 7/4.

TAMWORTH to beat Eastbourne

KIDDERMINSTER to beat Forest Green

KETTERING to beat Fleetwood

£10 returns just over £170 at the current Blue Square prices.
