..but was quick to point out there is still a long way to go in the season.
"Daniel Bradley's goal was a great strike and a worthy match winner, but I felt we could and should have had more, and earlier, from the chances we created. That said it was a good win and a satisfying start to the campaign.
"I really wouldn't like to have to try and defend against our pace going forwards and we looked strong at the back...
"There were times when they had the ball but I thought we were generally comfortable and defended well. Paul Green came in and did a great job for us.
"Four points from six is excellent but there are still 40 plus games to go over the season so we can't think about getting carried away and look ahead to the visit of Darlington on Saturday."
"For them to brought a point back from Fleetwood was a good result tonight and Mark Cooper will be wanting his new side to do well on his old turf. I'd like to think that personally and as a club I and we can achieve similar sorts of success to that Mark has brought himself and the clubs he's been at.
"It will be a very interesting game on Saturday afternoon and we're looking forward to it. I am certain our fans will get behind us as they did excellently tonight, they made a lot of noise for us all throughout the 90 minutes."
Kick off at The Lamb against Darlington on Saturday is 3pm.
[Unfortunately, technical difficulties prevented any of the 10 minute video interview with Marcus from being uploaded.
