 Fortune grateful to departing manager!

Lambs scholarship graduate Fortune Maphosa thanked departing manager Dennis Greene this week in an interview with Matt Panter of the Tamworth Herald. His performances have not gone unnoticed and Maphosa said: “Without Dennis giving me a first-team chance, I wouldn’t be where I am right now. He gave me my opportunity. I’ve started about ten games now so I will always be grateful to him for that. He’s a good man and I wish him well but unfortunately football is about results. As a team and a club we have got to move on and get the club back to where it belongs."

Maphosa continued “It’s not a nice situation or an ideal one when you lose a manager but we have got to take it on the chin and put things right. We have got to do our best to get the fans back on side.” Maphosa backed the temporary appointment of Gary Smith, saying "ge’s a good character and hopefully he will bring back the smiles. As a group we are down and low on confidence but I am sure he will get us back up and going again.”
