Vanarama are delighted to announce that the winner of the Vanarama Conference North manager of the month award for October is Marcus Bignot of Solihull Moors.
The Moors have had a great month scoring 14 goals and taking 13 points from their five league games this month. As a result the Moors now sit in third place in the Vanarama Conference North. On the announcement of the award Marcus said, “I feel privileged to receive the Vanarama Conference North Manager of the Month award for October. The partnership between The Football Conference and Vanarama has really raised the profile of non-league football. Everyone is working in harmony, from the Board of Directors, all club staff and most of all this squad of players. I believe we have established Solihull Moors as a ‘top ten’ club in this league, and for me it is gratifying that people talk about us as play-off contenders. Only time will tell, but this generous award suggests we are going in the right direction.â€Â The official award panel had this to say, “Marcus was the stand out candidate with Solihull Moors racking up a massive haul of points from their games, including two away wins at Oxford City and Boston United and a memorable home victory against high flying Chorley.â€Â Congratulations Marcus Bignot of Solihull Moors on winning this award and we wish him the very best for the rest of the season. Awards panel consists of representatives from the Football Conference, Journalists and Vanarama. Paul Hurst of Grimsby Town won the Vanarama Conference award for the Premier Division.
