After the 1-0 win over Lincoln City at The Lamb on Saturday afternoon, Marcus Law gave us his thoughts on the game and Tuesday's visit of promotion hopefuls Luton Town to Tamworth, kick off 7.45pm.
"The three points were massive for us today, it is a strange division where you never know who can beat who and every point has be hard fought for. The victory was completely different to that we achieved at Gateshead though and shows were have many sides to our game. I just wish the fans who came down today could have seen the Gateshead win as that was possibly more pleasing to watch, but I'm not taking anything away from both games or the results.
"The sending off did put us on the back foot more than Lincoln and as we lost our right back (Richard Tait) and this disjointed us, but Lloyd Kerry did superbly slotting into the gap in defence.
With Wrighty (ankle) and Barrow (hamstring) we could have done without picking up knocks but we fought our way to six points from six thanks to Lloyds early goal which was superbly worked.
I don't think Tony (Breeden) had a meaningful shot to save in the second half and we're definitely celebrating the two clean sheets but we know that Luton are a formidable task and they are a squad with an abundance of great players at this level so it should be an exciting game and we're looking forward to a quick return to The Lamb and hopefully extending the unbeaten run in front of our own fans as part of a big crowd."
