THE LAMBS have snapped up midfielder, Danny Racchi, from National League outfit, FC Halifax Town on a non-contract basis...

The 27 year-old came through the ranks at Huddersfield Town having joined the club at the age of eight.

He went on to sign his first professional contract with The Terriers in the summer of 2006 and made his senior debut for the club in March 2007.

After a handful of first-team appearances, he was released and joined Bury, whom he helped to reach the play-offs.

A non-contract spell with Wrexham was followed by a move to York City, where he played under former Tamworth boss, Gary Mills, but having failed to establish himself, he decided to leave the club in April 2011 and headed north of the border to Kilmarnock.

Appearing in the Scottish Premier League, he did well until injury halted his progress.

His next move took him to Iceland with Valur before he finally returned to these shores at the turn of 2015 with Hyde before linking up with his hometown club, FC Halifax early this term.
