Lambs assistant boss Darron Gee was under no illusions that Tamworth would probably have to grind out 'more of the same' as the season continues if they are to keep pushing for the top.
"There was no way the game was going to be as open as when we played them at their place earlier in the season. And we've got to expect teams to play like that against us. If it has to happen scruffily then so be it."
"We have all got be a bit more patient sometimes and realise that it's not going to be champagne football every week. Workington did us a favour by beating Telford last weekend, so we knew it was never going to be an easy task today, but we stuck in and got the win."
On the injury front Alex Rodman, who hurt his ankle whilst with the Engladn Futsal team, may be available on Tuesday, Dominic Langdon is struggling with his foot and may be out for another fortnight and Chris Nurse's, out with a 'freak' hip injury, should start training again this week with a view to playing in 7-10 days.
On Tuesday night Tamworth travel to Gainsborough Trinity for their next Blue Square North fixture, kick off 7.45pm at Northholme, Gainsborough.
A supporters coach is running to the game, departing the Lamb at 4.30pm. Places, priced at £10 a head, can be booked by contacting the club during normal office hours.
