Lambs go top

Wednesday Apr 1, 2009

A superb display by all concerned and a goal by Nick Wright - his first since mid October - netted all three points in Tuesday night's 1-0 win at promotion rivals Southport and sent them to the top of the league. It also put the Lambs three points from being mathematically certain of securing a top five finish this season.

If you would like to travel on the official coach to the Lambs next first team game - away at Harrogate on Saturday please contact the club during normal office hours to book your place.

The ongoing injury problems for Alex Rodman, Craig McAughtrie and Dominic Langdon all look set to keep them out of contention for the game in an otherwise fit squad and Lambs boss Gary Mills is hoping that a similar presence from the fans, as with that at Southport, will cheer them on for victory on Saturday.
