League leaders AFC Fylde were the visitors to the Lamb on Tuesday evening and the Lancashire side left their first ever visit to Tamworth with all three points thanks to a 3-0 away win.
Lambs boss Andy Morrell was reticent about the game after the final whistle 'Losing Dave Hibbert so early in the game (he had to be taken to Good Hope hospital after sustaining a knock to the head inside the first five minutes) definitely disrupted our plans as we don't have a similar target player so it brought Phil Trainer into the mix early and we had to adjust, before a great strike opened the scoring for them and there is no doubt about it they are a very good team.
Over all I have learned a lot 'in defeat' and it is has shown that the lads need to show more bravery out on the field. I have seen some very encouraging signs and good skills in training but they are perhaps not making it out onto the field on a matchday at the moment.
'We gave everything at Guiseley on Saturday looking for three points and so perhaps didn't have a lot left tonight, so we will have to go again on Saturday (when Lowestoft visit in the FA Cup) and go out and do what we are good at in training and work for a win to breed some confidence.'
The FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round game kicks off at 3pm at The Lamb with admission prices reduced.
