HAVING slipped to a disappointing defeat at struggling Corby Town on Saturday, The Lambs have an immediate opportunity to bounce back on Tuesday as we play host to Curzon Ashton (kick-off 7.45pm)...

Andy Morrell’s team have gone three games without a win and will be keen to get back on track against a Curzon Ashton side who find themselves just two places and a point behind us in the Vanarama National League North table.

We fell to a 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture back in October.

“We know that our quality has to be better both in the attacking and defensive thirds,” said player-manager, Morrell. “We need to get back to being harder to beat as we were earlier in the season.

“We’re conceding too many goals and confidence is low. We need our experienced lads to step up to the plate and help the younger lads right now; we’re finding it difficult at the minute but we have an opportunity to bounce back straight away.

“We’ve already lost at Curzon Ashton earlier in the season, so we want to make an amends for that.

“They’re only a point behind us; it’ll be a keenly-fought encounter and I will be keen to see a response from the last couple of games.”
