The Lionesses played the last game of the season last Sunday against a Willenhall side trying to secure there second place finish in the league.
Tamworth got off to a great start taking the lead within 10 mins good work from Cat Harris who set up Nikki Jarvis to slot a firm shot past the Willenhall goalkeeper.
5 mins later Jarvis was the provider and a through ball from her gave Kim Hill a chance to shoot low and hard past the diving keeper.
This woke Willenhall up and after a free kick Willenhall found the net from a header from inside the penalty area and just before half time and with Willenhall having the greater share of the play they drew level via a good individual goal from the centre forward.
Within 1 minute of the restart Willenhall took the lead after the Lionesses 'fell asleep', however this proved to give the Lionesses the kick they needed and they were unlucky not to draw level with chances falling to Hill, Jarvis and Benice Owen.
But with illness to the Lionesses keeper Kate Watson, the Lionesses were reduced to 10 players with Kim Mcguigan going in goal.
Willenhall added to their lead after a good move and finish, and this seemed to inspire Tamworth Lionesses to pick their game up and produce a good last 15 mins with Hill bagging a second goal after a through ball from Sophie Wardle and a firm finish from Hill.
Confidence can be taken from this game as the Lionesses had several key players missing and the side are now look forward to next season.
